Rome

Rome was awesome!!! I had so much fun. I didn't get to do much sightseeing but hey I was in Rome!! We drove down in the lorry (lol) so saw quite a bit of the country and stuff on the way. OMG the lorry (lol) is SOO flash and comfy and cool!!! There's a chocolate box that Susy keeps filled up so we can basically just eat as much chocolate as we can!! How awesome =) The event was cool it was just a novice (we drove 6 hours for a novice!!!) but the ponys were all really good. The standard of riding is terrible I couldn't believe it!! And about every second person had a double bridle on! Madness! But all very interesting.

Tomorrow is my day off. I'm going to go back into Milan and hopefully have a proper look around this time. After I finished emailing you guys I spent 4 hours trying to find the bus to get home!! But hey I made it in the end and now I know where to go so it will be fine tomorrow (I hope). So hopefully I can get to the proper shops tomorrow and do some serious shopping (I got paid today =D).

Today was cool Susy let me do some pole work and jumping on Rose which was awesome. She basically gave me a lesson so that was cool.

Still Alive

Sorry its taken so long to write again. We don't have Internet in our flat so am at an Internet cafe in Milan. Susy is trying to get us Internet at the moment so hopefully it wont be too far away.

The flat is tiny!! Haha but its ok my room is an okish size so Ill cope. Its just the lounge/kitchen thing that doesn't have much room but hey its all good.

Its so hard over here. Am feeling very homesick!! Hardly anyone speaks English which is quite tricky and weird. Today is my day off so I have ventured into Milan quite scary cause I'm not sure if ill be able to find the bus to get back =S But is so good to see everyones emails! Its taken so long for me to read them all it will probably cost a fortune! Oh well

The place I'm living at is called Vairano its owned by Susys Mum and has our yard, some babys (I think racehorses) down the corridor and in another block that are Show Jumpers. I'm not exactly sure how it works but theres also a car race track there where they test out the cars before something. I dunno really but they're VERY loud and not good when I'm trying to sleep in the day.

The village that's about a 20min walk is called Vidigulfo and from there I can catch a bus to Milan (about 1hr) or Pavia its quite cute and will be good to have a proper look round in.
Its so cold over here! My fingers are so cold I can hardly type. And very foggy when the fog comes down it stays all day and makes it even colder

So far the job seems cool the horses are awesome we are going down to Rome this weekend for a comp are taking 3 horses and Laura (the other groom) and I are both going so it should be good Ill get to see how things are done. The lorry is awesome! It has air conditioning!!! and an ice box in the outside compartment! And apparently it has international TV! I want to move in so I can watch Greys Anatomy!!! It sux over here the TV is all in Italian so that's not very helpful when I'm bored - not that theres been much time for that. We went to Susys house warming last night (shes just moved to a bigger flat) and they had karaoke!! Random ay! Again really weird cause it was all in Italian and the only people that spoke English was Laura and Susy. But everyone seems really nice they all are trying really hard to help me.

OMG an ambulance just went past. It has crazy sirens! lol

Dubai

OMG I'm in Dubai!! This place is massive!!! I'm feeling very lucky that right outside my gate I found an Internet station and it even had a spare computer! Bonus! Not that it matters cause Ill prob be hanging here for the next two hours, wont be doing too much wandering cause I will get lost!!!! Airports are scary =S

The plane from NZ to Melbourne was packed there was hardly a spare seat anywhere I was sitting next to a nice lady from England who just came home for her brothers wedding. But the next one from Melbourne to Dubai was really empty like just about everyone had a spare seat next to them which would have been great but I was seated next to the same lady again and we wern't quick enough to move so ended up trying to sleep in those horrible seats!! I think my necks almost broken (silly me forgot about your blow up pillow Mary until it was almost over) so have basically not slept since the couple of hours I had Monday night. I have no idea how long ago that was. It was dark the whole way from Melbourne to hear which is quite trippy! So am hoping that the next one is really empty. The England people are all on a different plane so fingers crossed!!

Hey I just clicked its my birthday tomorrow!!! Hope everyones sent me over lots of presents that will be waiting for me when I get there! ;-)

Well I probably should get going I'm so tired that I'm guess I'm not making much sense at the mo.
